...those monitors (running a system called Lyvve Coach, by 8K Solutions, Inc.) alternate between showing live action and instant replays to assist players and coaches in evaluating what’s going right and what’s going wrong on the fly.

“Now, you don’t have to wait till you get back inside,” defensive back Michael Thomas said. “You can just take a quick look over there to your right or to your left and see what happened. So it’s pretty cool.”

Gase said the Dolphins cooked up the idea in the spring, got together with 8K Solutions, a sports technology firm based in Titusville, and have been pleased with the early returns.

Three video boards can now be found at Dolphins practice, two in the end zone and one on the sideline. No, this isn’t a new perk for the fans, but a way for the players and coaches to check out what just happened on the field. Image credit: Miami Dolphins
